Creator of Supermums fitness & Personal Trainer
I created Supermums with a focus on female fitness. I use a fusion of techniques and exercise styles to help core strength, body awareness, flexibility and balance. I love this time in a woman’s life. There are so many special moments we share with our little ones. They light up our life and I’m so grateful to experience it myself and through Supermums, share in some of it with other mummas! There’s no doubt though, it is challenging to say the least. One of the hardest parts of motherhood is self care. We take so much of our energy and time to care for the health and happiness of others that it can be very easy to neglect our own. We’re in a particularly vulnerable time for our bodies and our self esteem. I believe it’s so important for us to keep working on moving our bodies and remember that while they’re not perfect, they’re absolutely amazing for what they’ve done and can do. The core Supermums focus is to learn to love and appreciate our bodies. As we know,it’s a lot easier to care for something we love!
My Health & Fitness Story
I took a slightly longer way around to finding health & Fitness. I wasn’t “sporty” and wasn’t a regular gym goer. No, my story to this becoming my life begins when, at only 19, when I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. The condition got to work pretty quickly and during, what was only my second bout, I was admitted to hospital and surgery became the only option. So after a full removable of my colon, living with a colostomy bag with regular blockages, then a j-pouch reversal I had my body back. I have been lucky to have had a fantastic result from the surgery and have since been able to conceive and carry two healthy kids. I think sometimes in life, you don’t really know what you want from it, until you’re pushed. When there’s a chance you might never have something, the motivation becomes very real.
My exercise journey certainly hasn’t been a smooth, or glamorous one but I have been able to make a full recovery from the surgeries and also after having 2 children. I completed my own body shape transformation after each pregnancy and learnt a lot about myself and the process of an MP body transformation, in a particularly unique situation.
I hope to use my experience and my involvement in Body Reflexion to help change the life of others and provide the amazing benefits that come with understanding how to get the best health, fitness and body composition possible. I would also love to concentrate on helping mums get back into exercise and also for people who have suffered or are currently battling bowel disease and other chronic conditions, as I believe the correct knowledge of nutrition and exercise does make dealing with these, that little bit easier.
I’d love for you to join me for a free trial in my Supermums sessions! Or if I have any spots in the Supermums FIRE program!
